Simon Wasley has joined Suffolk-based Denbury Homes as Senior Land Manager at a time of further growth as the housebuilder seeks new opportunities across the region.
An accomplished land management professional, Simon has a wealth of experience in working at managerial and director levels for land agents and housebuilders. He joins at an exciting time for Denbury Homes as the company celebrates a successful first year and continues to grow.
Joshua Hopkins, Land Director at Denbury Homes said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Simon to the team. His industry knowledge and local understanding alongside his relationships with landowners and planners will be instrumental in helping Denbury to identify opportunities and continue our legacy. His skills and experience have been an asset to the team so far, and I’m looking forward to working with him to further our growth.”
As Senior Land Manager, Simon is responsible for overseeing the land team, identifying appropriate opportunities and negotiating with landowners.
Whilst managing and coordinating upcoming opportunities, Simon is looking forward to working for a company that embraces its independent, family feel: “Having worked in larger, corporate organisations, I am looking forward to being part of a smaller enterprise and feel I can have a role in shaping the company’s future as we work to develop opportunities and relationships and fulfil our potential.
“I am thrilled to be progressing my career with Denbury Homes. The land team works very closely with all other teams and departments and the company’s committed to designing homes that blend with and enhance the towns and villages and this is evident across them all.
“The team has been very welcoming and it’s great to have some familiar faces from previous projects around too. I’ve even brought my dog into work a couple of times, so he is now an official Denbury Dog!”
Denbury Homes currently has developments in Badwell Ash, Suffolk and Mattishall, Norfolk which are nearing completion, whilst work at The Hornbeams in Elmsett and Barleyfields in Debenham (both Suffolk) began recently. The company has several schemes progressing through the planning process, including Abbots Vale in Bury St Edmunds.
