Denbury Homes Reveals Pupil’s Bedroom Design at New Townhouse Show Home

Denbury Homes brings South Lee Prep & Nursery pupil’s design to life in latest show home at St Edmunds Gate, Bury St Edmunds.

Forty-five pupils from years 6 – 8 at South Lee Prep took part in a competition to design a child’s bedroom for the townhouse show home at Denbury Homes’ flagship development. Denbury Homes and their Sudbury-based interior design firm, Rendall & Wright, selected a winner from a shortlist of 10. Year 8 pupil, Maggie P. produced the winning design which Rendall & Wright then transformed into reality.

Maggie, along with other pupils who participated in the competition had the honour of cutting the ribbon and announcing The Eagle show home open.

Monty Beaton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Denbury Homes, said: “Maggie’s design shows fantastic imagination and was a great response to the brief we set. It was a joy to see her face as she opened the door. We’re really proud of this collaboration and grateful to the school for their proactive approach and support.”

Sarah Catchpole, Head of South Lee Prep School & Nursery, commented: “I’m very proud of the enthusiasm with which the children took on this task. It’s been an invaluable experience for our pupils, giving them an opportunity to apply their creativity to a real-world challenge. Congratulations to Maggie and to all those who took part.”
