Denbury Homes will launch the first homes at its flagship development in historic Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 7th September. House hunters will have the opportunity to buy off plan and discuss the wider development with the expert sales team.
St Edmunds Gate, located off Rushbrooke Lane in Bury St Edmunds, is the flagship development from HBF five-star rated Denbury Homes. It will provide approximately 900 new homes for the area. Work started on the first phase of 174 homes, including 52 affordable, in June. The development will offer a variety of properties in different sizes and styles including one- and two-bedroom apartments, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in detached, terraced, coach and townhouse styles, each showcasing Denbury Homes’ exceptional designs and high building standards.
The launch will offer prospective homeowners the first glimpse of the development in the beautiful historic town of Bury St Edmunds, and they will have the opportunity to purchase off plan.
Sara Raven, Sales and Marketing Director at Denbury Homes, said: “We are excited to offer the first homes for sale at St Edmunds Gate. There has been a lot of interest from local buyers and those from further afield so our sales team can’t wait to welcome them to view the initial selection of carefully chosen homes in the first phase.
“The excitement has been added to by the unveiling of our stunning marketing suite. We commissioned Thurston-based company Smart Modular Buildings, to design and deliver the temporary building which will be the ideal place to showcase our new homes. This marketing suite will become part of Denbury’s future as it will be moved on to our other new developments when the time comes.”
The team at Denbury Homes frequently refers to something they know as the Denbury Difference. It describes the commitment that runs throughout the entire journey from planning to construction and sales to deliver houses that exceed expectations.
Sara continues: “As an HBF five-star rated housebuilder, we take great pride in each home we build and understand the importance of incorporating our developments seamlessly into the area by considering local architecture throughout the process. Through carefully selecting materials, and the team’s meticulous attention to detail, we ensure we deliver houses to the highest of standards. These houses become homes that both Denbury Homes and the new homeowners can be proud of for generations to come.”
The homes at St Edmunds Gate are expected to be awarded energy performance certificate ratings of B confirming them as easier and cheaper to heat than comparable older properties. All the homes will have electric vehicle charging points. Air source heat pumps will be fitted where possible, and the properties will benefit from high levels of insulation. This combined with water conservation measures will help them achieve a minimum 25% reduction in CO2 emissions against comparable older properties. Consideration has been given to protecting and enhancing biodiversity with features such as swift bricks, hedgehog gaps under fences, bat boxes and buried invertebrate log piles and areas of sown wildflowers planned throughout the development.
Through Section 106 payments Denbury Homes will be contributing around £15.5 million to the town. The money will be used to support education, healthcare, libraries and highways infrastructure.
The company provides further support to groups and charities through the Denbury Charitable Fund. To date, the fund has provided over £1.6 million of grants and donations to causes across East Anglia.
